Grinding Under Process of MAN CME 5L 16/24 Crankshaft
Repair executed of crankshaft of MAN CME 5L 16/24 (Auxiliary Engine):
- Inspection of crankpin was undertaken.
- Taper and ovality exceeding 0.50 mm with deep bearing linemarks were observed.
- As per engine manufacturer MAN CME 5L 16/24 (Auxiliary Engine), the last size recommended is only 0.5 mm undersize.
- RA Power Solutions Pvt. Ltd. have undersized the crankpin by 1 mm under deviation.
- Undersize bearing of 1 mm was supplied by RA Power Solutions.
- The engine after repairs is performing satisfactory.
